Search and Filter Inspections

Find inspections quickly using the search bar and status filters. Locate specific inspections by name, or filter by completion status to manage your inspection workload.

Accessing Inspections

  1. Click Inspections in the left navigation bar
  2. The main view shows inspection cards
  3. Use the search bar and filters at the top

Switch Between Views

The Inspections module has two main views:

ViewWhat It Shows
Completed/In ProgressInspections that have been executed or are currently in progress
ScheduledUpcoming inspections assigned to users or teams

Click the view toggle to switch between these views.

The search bar is located at the top of the module.

  1. Click on the search bar
  2. Type your search term
  3. Results update automatically as you type
  • Inspection name
  • Template name
  • Description

Using Status Filters

Filter inspections by their completion status:

StatusDescription
CompletedInspections that have been finalized
In ProgressInspections that were started but not yet completed

How to Apply Filters

  1. Locate the filter chips below the search bar
  2. Click on a status filter
  3. The list updates to show only matching inspections
  4. Click again to remove the filter

Combining Search and Filters

Use search and filters together for precise results:

  1. Apply a status filter (e.g., "In Progress")
  2. Use the search bar to find a specific inspection within that status

Scheduled Inspections View

When viewing scheduled inspections, you can see:

  • Template name
  • Description
  • Inspection ID
  • Scheduled date and time
  • Assigned users and/or teams
  • Number of questions

This view is available to all users, but managers and supervisors can see all scheduled inspections, while operators see only their own assignments.

Practical Examples

Find Your In-Progress Inspections

Goal: See inspections you started but haven't finished

  1. Apply the In Progress filter
  2. Your incomplete inspections appear
  3. Click on one to resume

Find a Specific Completed Inspection

Goal: Locate a particular inspection for review

  1. Switch to the completed/in-progress view
  2. Apply the Completed filter
  3. Type part of the inspection name in search
  4. Click on the result to view details

View Upcoming Scheduled Inspections

Goal: See what inspections are coming up

  1. Switch to the Scheduled view
  2. Browse upcoming inspections
  3. Check assignment and due dates

Tips

  • Check "In Progress" regularly to complete any paused inspections
  • Use search when you know the inspection name
  • Use status filters when browsing by completion state
  • Managers should review "Scheduled" view to ensure adequate coverage
  • Clear filters before starting a new search to see all results
