Viewing Template History

Changes to templates are tracked:

  1. Open the template detail view

  3. See who made changes and when

This provides accountability and helps trace when modifications were made.

Deleting a Template

If a template is no longer needed:

  1. Open the template detail view
  2. Click Delete
  3. Confirm deletion

Note: Deleted templates can be recovered if needed.

Using Comments

Communicate with your team about template changes:

  1. Open the template detail view
  2. Go to the Comments section
  3. Leave notes about changes, ask questions, or document decisions

Enable Follow Conversation to receive notifications when others comment.

Tips

  • Document significant changes in the comments for future reference
  • Test edited templates with a sample inspection before widespread use
  • Review operator feedback to identify needed improvements
  • Keep question text consistent — small wording changes can affect how operators interpret questions
  • Consider creating a new version rather than editing if changes are substantial

What Happens to Existing Inspections?

  • Completed inspections: Retain the template version they were executed with
  • Scheduled inspections: Will use the updated template
  • In-progress inspections: May need to be completed with the original version
