Edit a Vendor
Update vendor information and contacts in Zeltask to ensure your provider records remain accurate as relationships evolve.
Before You Start
- The vendor must already exist in Zeltask
- You need permission to edit vendor records
Steps
Step 1: Open the vendor detail view
- Click Vendors in the left navigation bar
- Click on the vendor card you want to edit

Step 2: Enter edit mode
- Click Edit in the vendor detail view
- The form becomes editable

Step 3: Update vendor information
You can modify:
| Field | What You Can Change |
|---|---|
| Name | Update the company or provider name |
| Description | Revise the services description or scope |

Step 4: Manage contacts
While editing, you can also:
- Edit existing contacts — Update name, email, role, or phone
- Add new contacts — Include additional contact persons
- Remove contacts — Delete contacts that are no longer relevant

Step 5: Save changes
- Review your modifications
- Click Submit to save the changes
The vendor record is updated immediately.
Common Updates
| Scenario | Action |
|---|---|
| Contact left the company | Remove the old contact and add their replacement |
| Phone number changed | Edit the contact's phone field |
| Company rebranded | Update the vendor name |
| Services expanded | Update the description to reflect new offerings |
Tips
- Keep descriptions current — outdated information can lead to confusion
- Update contacts promptly when you learn of role changes
- Add notes in the comments section about significant changes
