Create a Vendor

Register a new provider or supplier in Zeltask to centralize contact information, link them to work orders, and maintain a clear record of your vendor relationships.

Before You Start

  • You need access to the Vendors module
  • Gather information about the provider: company name, description, and contact details

Steps

Step 1: Access the Vendors module

  1. Click Vendors in the left navigation bar
  2. You see cards displaying existing vendors
  3. Click Create Vendor

Step 2: Enter vendor information

Fill in the following fields:

Step 3: Add contacts

Within the same creation form, you can add one or more contacts associated with this vendor.

For each contact, enter:

You can add multiple contacts to the same vendor.

Step 4: Save the vendor

  1. Review all entered information
  2. Click Save to register the vendor

The vendor is now available in your Vendors list and can be linked to actions and other modules.

Tips

  • Include a clear description of what services or products each vendor provides
  • Add all relevant contacts — having backup contacts prevents delays when the primary contact is unavailable
  • Keep contact information updated when roles or phone numbers change
  • Use consistent naming conventions to make searching easier

What Happens Next

Once created, the vendor:

  • Appears in the Vendors list as a card
  • Can be selected when creating actions, tickets, or other records
  • Includes a comments section for tracking communications
  • Can be edited or deleted from the detail view
