What Is Inventory?

Inventory is a centralized module for managing all supplies, spare parts, materials, and resources needed for daily operations.

Why It Matters

Operations depend on having the right materials available when needed. Without clear tracking, teams face stockouts, lost materials, unnecessary purchases, and wasted time searching for supplies. Zeltask's Inventory module provides a single source of truth for all materials, with full traceability of usage and changes over time.

How It Works in Zeltask

The Inventory module lets you register every material, spare part, or supply your organization uses. Each inventory item includes details like manufacturer, model, location, stock levels, and associated documentation.

When stock levels drop to the minimum threshold you define, the system notifies the responsible team. Every change — restocking, adjustments, edits — is logged in an activity history, so you always know what happened and who made the change.

Inventory items can be linked to actions (work orders), making it easy to track which materials were used for each maintenance task. Each item also generates a QR code for quick identification in the field.

Key Points

  • Register all materials with details: manufacturer, model, GTIN, location, provider
  • Set minimum stock levels to receive alerts before running out
  • Track all changes in the activity history with timestamps and user information
  • Link inventory to actions for complete traceability of material usage
  • Generate QR codes for quick identification and access in the field
  • Attach documentation like manuals, technical sheets, and certifications
