Search and Filter Inventory

Find inventory items quickly using the search bar and filter options.

Before You Start

  • You need access to the Inventory module

Search Options

The search bar at the top of the Inventory module lets you search by:

Steps

Step 1: Access Inventory

  1. Click Inventory in the left navigation bar
  2. You see all inventory items displayed as cards
  1. Click the search bar at the top of the module
  2. Type your search term
  3. Results filter automatically as you type

Step 3: Use filter chips (optional)

The lateral filter chips let you narrow results quickly by predefined categories.

Click on a filter chip to apply it, or combine multiple filters for more specific results.

Switching Views

You can change how inventory items are displayed:

To switch views:

  1. Click Table View to see items in a table
  2. Click Split View to return to the default card layout

Tips

  • Use partial words to search — "belt" finds "V-Ring Belt" and "Timing Belt"
  • Search by ID when you know the exact item you need
  • Use Table View when comparing stock levels across multiple items
  • Combine search with filters for the most precise results
