Search and Filter Inventory
Find inventory items quickly using the search bar and filter options.
Before You Start
- You need access to the Inventory module
Search Options
The search bar at the top of the Inventory module lets you search by:

| Manufacturer | "Parker" |

Steps
Step 1: Access Inventory
- Click Inventory in the left navigation bar
- You see all inventory items displayed as cards
Step 2: Enter your search
- Click the search bar at the top of the module
- Type your search term
- Results filter automatically as you type

Step 3: Use filter chips (optional)
The lateral filter chips let you narrow results quickly by predefined categories.
Click on a filter chip to apply it, or combine multiple filters for more specific results.

Switching Views
You can change how inventory items are displayed:
| View | Description | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Split View | Cards with preview panel (default) | Browsing and quick details |
| Table View | Spreadsheet-style list | Comparing multiple items, bulk review |
To switch views:
- Click Table View to see items in a table
- Click Split View to return to the default card layout

Tips
- Use partial words to search — "belt" finds "V-Ring Belt" and "Timing Belt"
- Search by ID when you know the exact item you need
- Use Table View when comparing stock levels across multiple items
- Combine search with filters for the most precise results
