Manage Tags

Tags help you classify and organize templates, actions, and other records in Zeltask. Create custom tags that match your operational needs for better filtering and organization.

Before You Start

  • You need Admin permissions to manage organization tags
  • Tags apply organization-wide to all users

Accessing Tag Settings

  1. Click Settings in the sidebar
  2. Under Organization Settings, locate the Tags section

What Are Tags?

Tags are labels you can apply to templates and other records to classify them by purpose, area, or any criteria meaningful to your organization.

Common uses for tags:

Creating a Tag

  1. In the Tags section, click Add Tag or +
  2. Enter a Tag Name
  3. Click Save

The tag is now available when creating or editing templates and other supported records.

Editing a Tag

  1. In the Tags section, locate the tag you want to edit
  2. Click the Edit icon
  3. Update the Tag Name
  4. Click Save

Existing records using this tag will reflect the updated name.

Deleting a Tag

  1. In the Tags section, locate the tag you want to delete
  2. Click the Delete icon
  3. Confirm the deletion

Before deleting a tag, consider that records using this tag will no longer have it. Review which templates or records use the tag first.

Using Tags in Templates

When creating or editing a template, you can assign one or more tags:

  1. Open the template creation or edit form
  2. Locate the Tags field
  3. Select the tags that apply to this template

Tags help you filter and find templates later based on their classification.

Tips

  • Create tags based on how your team searches for and groups content
  • Use consistent naming conventions across tags
  • Start with broad categories and add specific tags as patterns emerge
  • Periodically review and clean up unused tags
