Assign a Technician

Assign actions to specific users or teams to ensure clear responsibility and keep work organized. Assigned users receive notifications and can update the action's progress.

Before You Start

  • The user or team must already exist in Zeltask
  • You need permission to create or edit actions

Assign During Action Creation

  1. Open the Actions module from the navigation bar
  2. Click Create Action
  3. Fill in the required fields (title, category, type, etc.)
  4. In the Assignment field, select either:
    • A specific user
    • A complete team
  5. Click Submit to save the action

Reassign an Existing Action

  1. Open the Actions module from the navigation bar
  2. Click on the action you want to reassign
  3. Click Edit
  4. In the Assignment field, select a different user or team
  5. Click Submit to save changes

What Happens After Assignment

When you assign an action:

  • The assigned user or team receives a notification
  • The action appears in their task list
  • They can update the status and record progress
  • All activity is tracked in the action's history

Tips

  • Assign to a team when any member can complete the work
  • Assign to a specific user for specialized tasks or accountability
  • Check user availability before assigning time-sensitive actions
  • Reassign promptly if the original assignee is unavailable
