Can Statuses Be Changed Manually?

No. Managers and supervisors cannot manually change an inspection's status. The status is controlled entirely by the system based on user actions.

Can Completed Inspections Be Reopened?

No. Once an inspection is completed, it cannot be reopened or reverted to "In Progress". This ensures data integrity and audit compliance.

If corrections are needed after completion:

  • Add comments to the completed inspection to note any issues
  • Create a new inspection if a re-check is required

What Happens When Due Date Passes

When a scheduled inspection passes its due date without completion:

  1. The inspection is marked with an "Overdue" visual indicator
  2. The status remains In Progress
  3. Users can still access and complete the inspection
  4. Supervisors receive visibility into overdue items

Filtering by Status

Use status filters to find specific inspections:

  1. Go to the Inspections module
  2. Click the status filter dropdown
  3. Select In Progress or Completed

Tips

  • Review the In Progress filter regularly to avoid forgetting incomplete inspections
  • Pay attention to Overdue indicators on scheduled inspections
  • If an inspection is completed, use comments to add any follow-up notes rather than attempting to reopen
