Manage Teams
Edit team information, update team members, or delete teams that are no longer needed. Keep your team structure current as your organization evolves.
Before You Start
- You need Admin or Manager permissions to manage teams
Accessing the Teams View
- Click Users & Teams in the sidebar
- Click the Teams tab
- You'll see cards for all existing teams

Viewing Team Details
- In the Teams view, locate the team you want to manage
- Click on the team card to open the detail view

The detail view shows:
- Team name and description
- List of users assigned to the team
- Options to edit or delete the team
Editing a Team
Update Team Information
- Open the team detail view
- Click Edit or the edit icon
- Update the Name or Description as needed
- Click Save

Add or Remove Team Members
- Open the team detail view
- Click Edit
- In the Users field:
- Click to add new users from the dropdown
- Remove users by clicking the X next to their name
- Click Save

Deleting a Team
- Open the team detail view
- Click Delete or the delete icon
- Confirm the deletion when prompted

Note: Deleting a team does not delete the users — they remain in the system and can be added to other teams.
When to Update Teams
| Situation | Action |
|---|---|
| New employee joins | Add them to the appropriate team(s) |
| Employee changes role | Move them to a different team |
| Employee leaves | Remove them from teams (or delete their user account) |
| Team restructuring | Update team compositions to match new structure |
| Team no longer needed | Delete the team |
Tips
- Review team compositions quarterly to ensure they reflect current operations
- When renaming a team, choose a name that clearly describes its purpose
- Before deleting a team, check if any active assignments reference it
- Keep team sizes manageable — consider splitting large teams by shift or specialty
